Tuesday afternoon we headed east on WA-20. We were headed to Port Townsend to catch a ferry to Whidbey Island.
We spent the night inn Burlington. We woke to a cloudy morning but it was clear at the pass.

Diablo Lake on the North Cascades highway.

We drove up and got the last spot on the ferry. That never happens.
Wurstchen really enjoyed the doggie windows on the ferry.

Washington Pass

Love this viewpoint

Our campsite at Lake Chelan. You don't get this with an RV reservation.

You can get a camp site and a boat berth. That's a good vacation.

Barbara heaven. At least until she discovered the faux-ladder on the dock was unusable. The shore exit wasn't bad.

Our camp

Momma and ducklings came for a visit in the morning.

The kayaks would have been fun but they belong to the neighbors.

After a stop in Cashmere for some Aplets and Cotlets we made our way to Leavenworth and the Alpen Rose. Thanks Sam and Kat for the great recommendation.

Dinner at the dog friendly Sausage Garden. We brought our own little sausage.

Locally made curry wurst.

After a great breakfast of potato strudel, we are off to SeaTac for the next phase of the adventure.
